COVID-19 Impact on AB PRO 2020 Season

By AB Pro Admin-Saturday 11 Apr 2020

Dear Roller Hockey Fans, Players and Family,

We hope you are managing to stay safe, are staying home and are practicing effective social distancing if you are required to be out in public.

For those of you in essential roles or in health care, we’d like to express our immeasurable gratitude for your contributions during this unprecedented time.

Alberta Pro Roller Hockey wanted to provide a quick update on our 2020 season as we’re sure you’re all eager to understand what is happening; whether you’re a player or a fan.

The AB Pro Roller Hockey team, Owners and General Managers would first like to express that we are actively following the guidance and direction of the Alberta Government, Alberta Health Services and the Municipalities in which we play.

With that said, we’re currently hopeful, with the collective actions of everyone to social distance and stay at home that we still can organize a season for 2020. As such, we have created scheduling options with the anticipation that recreation facilities will open at some point in this spring/summer.  The owners, general managers and all the players have expressed their desire to participate in even a reduced season.

Sport will play an important role in the healing process post Covid crisis.  The Alberta Pro Roller Hockey League, Owners, General Managers and all Players are committed to doing their part in participating in that healing process the best way they can.  The game must go on!

Over the next month, as additional information becomes available, the league will endeavor to keep everyone posted with our plans.  Please watch this site for any news and information as it relates to the 2020 season.

Stay safe and Stay Home.

Yours in Sport,

Alberta Pro Roller Hockey League Executive
